East Africa has been producing work the world cannot afford to ignore. Designers, musicians, filmmakers, visual artists. A generation that has been building in plain sight. Kla2thawrld exists to make sure that work reaches every room it deserves to be in.
We are not waiting to be discovered. We are building the stage: the events, the archive, the network that carries Kampala's creative voice to the world. Culture moves on its own terms. We move with it.
From Kla to the world. If you are part of this, from Kampala to Nairobi, London, Toronto, New York, this community was built for you. And by you.
Kampala has been producing work with nowhere consistent to put it. Designers working out of apartments, musicians playing to 40 people, photographers shooting on film because it felt right. The output was always there. The stage was not.
Project X puts that work in the same room. Each edition brings musicians, designers, and visual artists together in Kampala. Collaborations start at the bar. Records get their first crowd. Things begin here.
The format travels. We have taken editions to other East African cities and the response has been the same every time: the scene was already there. It just needed a night.
Afrobeats, Afropop, Amapiano, and sounds that don't have names yet.
Limited merch and art released at events. No restocks.
Photography, film, and design woven through every edition.
Open to anyone building something in the East African creative space.
East African creatives are building in London, Toronto, New York, Dubai, and cities beyond that. Running studios, designing clothes, directing films. Most of it stays disconnected from home.
Kla2thawrld archives what happens in Kampala and pushes it outward. Diaspora creatives come back to collaborate, to sponsor editions, to be in the room when the next thing starts. The connection goes both ways.
Follow from wherever you are. Come to an edition once and you will understand what the archive never quite captures.
Every drop is made for one edition. Released at the event, through our channels, nowhere else. When it sells out, it is gone. No restocks, no third-party retail.
The design pulls from Kampala. Typography, colour, texture that reads as local to anyone who has been here and as distinct to everyone who hasn't. That gap is intentional.
Kla2thawrld runs events, releases merch, builds media, and connects the creative community across East Africa and the diaspora. The events and the clothing make sense as one project because they come from the same place.
Project X
Our flagship. Curated experiences fusing music, fashion, art, and community. Intentional gatherings that East Africa is still talking about. Two editions. Two for two.
